Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend has been tons of fun. On Saturday Aaron took off hiking with his sisters Jessica and Esther. They tried to do the Maybird Lake hike but instead got lost and did a random hike in 10 feet of snow somewhere near Maybird Lake! He said that inspite of losing the trail they had fun.

While he was out hiking my sister Sara and I took the kids to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden. We had tons of fun running after the twins and walking on all of the trails thoughout the park. There was even a cool biking/jogging trail behind the park that we took the kids on after we left the park that ran along side a stream. It smelled so fresh and unlike the normal SLC polluted air that we are soooo used to now!

Sunday we went on a long drive. We started on Baccus Highway and went south to Copperton. It was a fun little town that has a really cool park. Then we wound our way down to Bangerter Highway to Redwood Road and out to the Eagle Mountain/Cedar Fort area. We took a road, not sure which, that sent us through Tooele and onto I-80 and back to West Valley. Madi slept the whole way, she is pretty easy to travel with.

Then today Aaron and I dropped Madi off with his parents and went on our first date since she was born. She is now 7 1/2 weeks and plenty old enough to be left with someone other than Aaron and I, or so I had to tell myself over and over again! It was hard but so worth it! We went to see the new Star Trek movie. It was very good and the only down side to it was the sick girl who sat next to me and coughed, sneezed, and made horrible throat sounds the whole time, YUCK! If you're sick stay home! Afterword we went to Applebee's and ate a late lunch/early dinner. Madi was good (or so we were told) and slept half the time we were gone. I wonder if she even realized that we weren't there. '

That wraps up our weekend. Here are some pics to enjoy!
