Two weeks old!

Its already been two weeks since Madi was born....WOW! Time flies by so fast! Yesterday she had her two week check-up and boy has she grown! Not in length...she's still only 19.5 inches long. But she went from 7lbs4oz to 7lbs 11.5oz. She's starting to chunk up!

She also had her other PKU test done yesterday. It was so sad, they pricked her heel and then squeezed her blood out until they filled up some circles on a card. She cried so hard...it just broke my heart. Luckily after her torture was completed she calmed down really fast. I don't know what Aaron and I would have done if she kept crying. Poor baby!

Leaving the hospital....finally!

After 4 days and 4 nights of being in the hospital they finally let us go home. And trust me we were so ready to break out of there!
Aaron and Madi waiting to be unshackled.
Madi being forced into posing for the camera.
Sweet Madi looking at Mom!

In the carseat....almost free!
And finally me....happy to be leaving!

Riddle me this!

What weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces, is 19 1/2 inches long and cute as a button? If you guessed a cute little baby girl then you would be right on. If you guessed something else then you're just weird!

Madilyn May Grandy arrived on Wednesday, April 1st at 11:17 a.m. No joke!
Aaron and I went to the hospital Tuesday night to induce labor and end my misery! Madilyn was trying really hard to stay in her environment and didn't want to make things easy on us! She was delivered by c-section after it was determined that she wasn't coming out on her own.....maybe that was her joke on us! But thats ok we still think she is the most adorable thing ever! Both mom and baby are doing great!

This is one of the last pregnancy pictures of me. 41 weeks!
This was right after they strapped me to the bed but before they gave me the drugs to start labor.Aaron getting ready to go into the operating room. Doesn't he look like Papa Smurf??
Madilyn right after she was born....she's screaming "Put me back!!"This is our first family picture. I was so afraid that I was going to drop her!
Aaron giving Madi her first bath....what a good Dad!
This is Madi on day 4. She is such a cute baby....I know I'm biased!

This past weekend.

This past weekend Aaron and I had a pretty fun weekend. Friday night we went over to some friends' house and played 2 games of Settlers of Catan. The girls ruled the night! Rosanna won the first game and I won the second!

On Saturday Aaron worked on our backyard. The day before we had 12 tons of rock delivered and he spent the morning and afternoon moving it all to the backyard! He didn't get any help from me, I slept in. Poor guy! I kinda felt bad though and made him cookies later that day to make up for my laziness. And, yes, I could have helped with some of it. Like the weed block and less backbreaking stuff like that! There is still alot of work to be done and 2 possibly 3 more loads of rock to move to the backyard! I wish I would have taken pictures of the work that was done, but it snowed today and everything is covered in a layer of white stuff! Maybe after it melts I'll take a few pics!

Sunday we went to my sister Sara's house to pick up some baby things that she gave us. (Thanks for the stuff Sis!) It was fun seeing my nieces play and visiting with Sara for a few hours.

Sara, I don't think she really wanted her pic taken!

Aaron (I really like this pic)

Me, looking at my prego belly!

This is my niece Kassidy. I love her ganster pose!! Both her and Kennedy loved wearing Aaron's jacket!

Suprise visit!!

So yesterday my sister Amber calls and says that she's on her way to Salt Lake and wants to know if I can watch her boys while she goes to a dr's appt.

So my boring day of house work turned into a fun day of playing with my nephews. We had so much fun! We played with all of Aaron's old childhood toys and after that we pulled out Mario Kart and raced against each other. I had an unfair advantage and beat them every time, hahaha it was fun!!

When Aaron got home from work he had fun rough housing with them while Amber and I got to gossip and play catch-up. It was nice!

Here's a pic of Aaron, Weston, Robbie, and Hunter. (Not sure what Weston is trying to do to Hunter but they were all laughing so I imagine it didn't hurt as much as it looks like it did!!
Here is a picture of Robbie trying on Aaron's affro wig. I don't think he wanted his picture taken, but oh well!!

Baby Shower!!

So a couple of weekends ago (Feb 7) my sisters and sister-in-laws had a babyshower for me. It was tons of fun seeing all of my family and friends there! I wish that I had more time to visit with them. I received a lot of cute, fun, and useful things for the baby. Thanks to everyone that came and I hope you had as much fun as I did!! Here are a couple of pictures.

Superbowl weekend

This past weekend we went to Cedar City for the Superbowl. We have a friend (Shane) who hosts a great party every year. We haven't went the last few years because we went to a different friends' (Devin) party. It would be awesome if they would just combine the parties so we wouldn't have to choose which one to attend each year......but we could only wish!! (Also I personally think it would be waaaayyy to crowded)

There were lots of fun things we got to do. Aaron went snowmobiling with everyone Saturday afternoon while I went to a baby shower for a cousin. I think I got the bum end of that deal! He had lots and lots of fun. I probably had more fun being warm in St George (a toasty 62) then I would have up the mountain while everyone else took turns riding snowmobiles (envious sigh!)!

Sunday morning our bro-in-law, Chris, made us these totally awesome breakfast burritos! Just thinking of them makes me hungry! After that we went out shooting with a bunch of friends. It was windy and cold but still fun. We took our shotgun and shot clay pigeons. There was also an arsenal of other guns that we took turns shooting. One was this cute little handgun (sorry guys, I have no idea what model) that had a verrry sensitive trigger. The first time shot with it was kinda scary (I'm sure Aaron agrees, seriously me with a gun...not a good thing!!), and surprisingly loud. I want a hand gun now. The shotgun like always was the most fun. After Aaron got tired of shooting clay pigeons he destroyed a tv that someone had left. It didn't stand a chance!

I guess I should also mention we had to watch some stupid football game. Honestly who cares? It's just an excuse to get together with friends, eat a ton of great food and forget about work for awhile. Aaron, Shanae, Crystal, myself and a couple of other people played Settlers instead!! I didn't even know the game had ended, probably because the other team won and no one was cheering (almost everyone there was rooting for the Cardinals), until everyone started leaving. I will admit that it was entertaining watching that person who almost broke his neck making a TD for the Steelers. Dang he can run!! But that was the only worth while thing to watch...everything else was just football!!

To end our trip we met up with Shanae, her 2 kids and Shane at Brad's for lunch. It was a great end to a great weekend.
